  • Great for large heavier TVs

    I purchased this mount for a 65 inch plasma, which is much heavier than the LCDs. It is very sturdy and we were able to install on 3 studs. I am positive my TV is going nowhere. I only give it 4 stars because it is a bit pricier than most other units.

  • It does the job

    I'm quite indifferent about this mount. I got it for free as part of a package deal. I would say it does a good job of holding the TV securely in place, and does have decent tilt range. However, the gap between the TV and the wall is huge ( Note: I do have Samsung 8000 series which is very thin). Also, tilting motion is not smooth- even with the levers relaxed it takes a considerable amount of force to tilt the screen upwards, which is not very comforting. Otherwise I am relatively happy, but I would likely buy a more low profile mount in the future.

  • Poor quality

    I was very disappointed in this product. It looks like they spent more time translating the directions into 17 different languages than in writing quality directions. The wall bracket itself is very easy to get installed upside-down. As far as installation, I drilled the recommended pilot hole and even liberally soaped up the lag bolt for easy installation...I was one-handing the ratchet and barely torquing the lag to screw it in and the bolt broke before it was fully seated....hmmm...Replaced that with a lag bolt I had, and drilled a bigger pilot hole for the next bolt....it broke too....and it wasn't even half way in. At this point I decided to take it off the wall, and the third bolt sheared in two when I was removing it!!!...and this thing is supposed to hold up my 80+ pound plasma?

  • Best wall mount

    Don't settle for the cheaper wall mounts. This is most durable, well constructed wall mount Best Buy offers and does a great job as a mount for our 58" Panasonic plasma. The adjustable tilt is great for access to wires or adjusting the viewing angle. I highly recommend this wall mount to anyone. Installation is straightforward. Definitely a 2 man job.

  • Simple to install

    This bracket was simple to install and easily carries the weight of the TV. Good quality product with easy to read instructions. Price was considerably higher than on line and was matched by Best Buy.

    Excellent product - has the option of tilting vs low profile mount -- has all the hardware you need. The wall bracket is adjustable to fit your TV width as well as accomodate differing wall stud spacing.

  • Strong and sturdy like a Rock!

    I highly recommend this product to anyone getting a Flat Panel TV. For some of you it may seem pricey, but isn't it worth it as insurance that your expensive TV not be allowed to fall off the wall? It's generously rugged enough to hold a heavy Flat Panel up for years. I have a 46" Panasonic HDTV hanging from mine and I'm certain beyond any doubt that it will work for this HDTV and any I may buy in the future! Hang on to the extra parts you don't use this time as the next TV you get may require different parts and it'd be a bummer to have to buy another later down the road when you threw out parts you could've kept. :-) Now, it's off to pop some popcorn and watch another great DVD... see ya! :-)

  • A must for tough spots

    I purchased the Panasonic 50" plasma and had a smaller mount and with the stud locations I had to return it and purchase this one. I am very happy with it. I feel very secure about the hanging TV. Another best buy

  • Doesn't work for all large TV's

    Even though it says it works for TV's up to 84", it doesn't work for the Panasonic 65" Plasma. The plate that mounts on the wall expands to 42", which is the same width as the screws on the back of the TV. The mount would have worked great if it expanded to 44" so back it goes. I now know this TV requires a Panasonic mount part #ty-wk65pv7, which Best Buy doesn't currently sell.

  • best tilting wall mount

    I have 2 flat panels mounted, and my 60' was to large to for the other 60' wall mounts, since they were too small (tv bracket was not long enough). I had to buy buy this wall mount and it turns out to be the best option. Because it is expandable, for large TV's you can expand and mount the wall plate against 3 studs for extra support. This I feel is the best solution for maximum reliability. Also it allows you to move your TV left/right depending on your preferences.

    Had to go with this mount to accomidate the odd stud placement behind my fireplace. Versatile mount. Wish it was available with a swivle feature.
