  • Excellent camera

I love this camera. Samsung 12.2 megapixel digital. It is very easy to use and takes excellent pictures. It has a smart feature that makes taking good photos super easy. It is small enough to carry anywhere.

  • Broke in 30 days!

I'm not clumsy or dumb. The camera has lens issues. I live on the beach. Yes, the elements include sand and moisture. But, I take good care, use a case, etc. etc. Camera broke within 30 days! Lens didn't open. LAME!

  • It's not the best, but it's pretty good

I wasn't sure after reading the mixed reviews on this product, but went ahead and ordered it anyway since I didn't have money for a high-end camera at the time. Great price(on sale when I bought it,) and your getting what you pay for. Is this the BEST camera? No, but it's pretty good. I suggest not using the 'Smart Auto' feature since the pictures can look a little strange on that mode, and make sure to customize the 'Program' setting fully. (White balance, quality etc.) I suggest using that mode for most of your pictures as if seems to take the best shots. It also has a 'Super Macro' option which takes AMAZING close-ups, especially flowers. Make sure to download the photos off the camera and view them since they can look a little strange on the screen for some reason. All in all, I like this camera. You get what you pay for, keep that in mind; it's not the best, but it's pretty good.

  • Very Good Camera For Under $100!

When I got this camera, I got it for $89.99! It was an amazing deal. The video it takes is better than my iPod touch 4G's built-in camera. I was going to get the Olympus VG-140 at first, but after watching a few video samples of it on YouTube, I was disappointed at the sound and quality. So I went out to search for another cheap camera that can do better, and I found the Samsung TL105! When I got it in the mail, I was very excited. I quickly unboxed it and put in the battery and my 8GB SDHC memory card I bought. I went through the initial setup, and I messed around with all the features, and I must say, it's quite a lot for a camera under $100! I went up to the mountains during the weekend, and took a few pictures and videos, they all came out clear and nice! The pictures were huge! I could zoom all the way [10x, in review mode, not shooting mode] into the picture after taking it, and it was still very exceptional, not too blurry. This camera has 4x optical zoom, with an additional 5x digital zoom, so you'll never miss those tiny moments again! Unlike most other point-and-shoot cameras, this one doesn't use digital zoom during video recording. Instead it uses the optical zoom! Digital zoom will make videos blurry most of the time, which this camera doesn't use thankfully. So overall, I'm happy with this camera, and I don't think you'll be disappointed either.

  • Great camera for the price

Bought this camera as a gift for a relative for Christmas. Picture quality is great and takes great videos also. Fair price for such a portable and great camera.

  • Good price, poor performer

I spent a good amount of time trying this camera in various lighting conditions, with and without flash, focus patterns, normal and high resolution, max sharpness settings. It just did not perform well. Focus was hit and miss and my 4 megapixel camera resolution was about as good no matter what settings I used. There was a great deal of chromatic aberration as well... tree limbs had that definite blue glow along the edges. Flash was ok for close subject matter (expected). I returned this camera within a week and paid $16 more for a Nikon Coolpix S4000 that I carried through London. Great pictures from the S4000 and the touchscreen is fantastic.

  • Not good at all

Looking for a low cost point and shoot to use at times we didn't want to carry around our Nikon DSLR. The reviews for this camera were good so we decided to give it a try. It went back after 3 days, not easy to use, the body is so smooth is slips out of our hands. And the picture quality was just useless. There was no saving the pictures this took, out of focus, grainy, too much light, to little light...you get the point. My iPhone 4 pictures are 100% better.

  • a good camera for everyday pictures

not the greatest camera but no where near the worst. its a good camera to carry with you to capture those every day moments. HD video is very nice just wish the mic would work when you zoom in. But all an all a good camera.

  • Adequate

Good - still-frame-from-video feature - decent, small camera Bad - Samsung website is very misleading. Implies that camera has 1080p video, and HDMI output. It has neither. - Samsung says camera is 0.75" thick. Actually is 0.85" thick, at thickest point. - Non-standard plug makes it difficult to find charger options - Sony makes a smaller camera, with slightly better lens, for about the same price

  • A great little camera for a relatively small price

The only thing that I wish this camera had is a viewfinder. I'm old-school and I like to frame via a viewfinder. It was a gift from my sons, which I used the next day to film one son's college graduation. I could not get it to work right in low ambient indoor light because it's many features were not as intuitive as I would have liked, but that was my fault. Once I had time to look for the features which I knew it would have, I found the ISO, white balance, etc. which I had expected. It offers small size, 12MP resolution, and lots of features to allow optimized picture-taking in most settings. Yesterday, I bought a folding hood for the view screen so that I could get a better view of my subjects.

  • Does the job

I was looking for a cheap camera to cary around so I didn't have great expectations at this price point. I was surprised by the auto settings, with the touch of a button you can set the camera up for any kind of situation with pretty good results.

  • Great Out Of The Box

Let me start off with saying that I am very loyal Samsung enthusiast. That being said this camera is great for the money. I purchased this camera before leaving for a work training class up north and as a personal camera when I returned home. I like the style, size, weight and all the features you get. That was the good, now the bad. The pictures that result from this camera at times seem fuzzy and not sharp. This is probably due to the processing power of the camera and not the camera sensor itself. There were several good shots I took when I was traveling that didn't turn out that well because of this. I wish I had paid closer attention to this while I was taking them. Also, if your prefer to shoot in manual mode, as I do, the menu is somewhat difficult and confusing to access. Maybe I am just use to having full control of a camera as with my Nikon DSLR, oh well. For the money spent on this I would recommend it to anyone who is looking to buy or upgrade their digital camera. Just check the screen to make sure you get the shot you want before your done.

  • Good camera for Price

I waited a while to review this camera after i bought it. I have had it for a couple months now and am satisfied with it. Overall this is a good camera for the price. The HD quality on the video is not great but its good no complaints. The camera does what it says and has a few cool filters. My favorite is the one that makes things look miniature. Picture quality is good. The smart feature is good for beginners but the manual mode would take better pictures if you know how to use it. Also like all other point and shoot cameras, the quality in low or no lighting is OK, but this is expected from point and shoot cameras unless you wanna spend a lot more money. This a good camera does what its suppose to. I would recommend buying it unless you want to spend more money on cameras with touch screen or dual screens or whatever others features the add to charge more.

  • Don't buy if you want to use it 6 months from now

This camera turns itself off and the lens automatically retracts after 2 seconds. This problem only after 6-9 months of moderate use. We did not drop it or get it wet and it stayed in a case or on the charger. Very disappointed and Samsung says it is the camera. Nothing they can do now but replace the lens and it will most likely do it again in 6 months. Pathetic.

  • Great Camera

My friend and I make alot of videos, so I got this camera for us to use. I thought the price was pretty good as it was, but I got it later on a Black Friday sale for probably the best deal you could ever get. I love the fact that it has HD video, and it looks really good on our TV. I'm a little disappointed though that it only has the 60 fps at 240p. All in all, I think it's a really good camera, and that you should get it.

  • Returned two, bought and kept different brand

The first TL105 I bought produced washed out, overexposed photos every time. After having read so many positive reviews of this camera, I was sure I had a "lemon" so I exchanged it for another of the same camera. The second TL105 produced photos that were not as overexposed, but also not focused right , and the colors were not as accurate as I'd expect. If you just want a TINY camera that takes ok pictures, and you're not concerned with color accuracy or sharp focus, the TL105 is small and takes photos for not much over $125. If you would prefer better photos and don't mind spending $250 on a slightly, not much, larger camera- then there are better choices available from Samsung and other manufacturers. Maybe I just got two "lemons" in a row, but I ended up spending $250 on a different camera, and I'm much happier than I ever would have been with the TL105.

  • Good portable camera

Good portable camera. I bought it just to carry it around easily. I have a big canon camera right now, which is obviously not easly to carry around, but this is a good substitude. It feels a little bit fragile, but a carry case would solve that issue. Definately a good buy for what you pay.

  • Great features, but poor quality pictures.

We bought this camera before we went on vacation to Florida. We take a lot of outdoor shots of an active 6 year old. I wanted to like the camera because the features were awesome. But, the picture quality was so poor we had to return it. Pros: The camera was light weight and easy to use. I liked the rechargeable lithium battery and the simple USB cord that we used for both uploads and watching the slide show on TV. We used all of the features, picture settings and video. The HD quality video was the only highlight. They looked great. Cons: We took pictures indoor and outdoors. We took still photos of plants and sunsets and action pictures of our son. Less than 1/4 of the pictures came out well. The still shots were blurry or grainy, the action shots were worse. Some people have had better luck. Perhaps the picture quality won't bother you and you'll enjoy the video!

  • Great Camera for the money

The camera is a great camera for the price. It takes quality photos, easy to use, and a decent 4x zoom. Remember, this is a lower end camera and for my purposes, it fit in my pocket nicely, easy to point and click, and when I was looking for a higher quality zoom, I stepped up to my better Kodak.

  • Great Camera

My dad bought me this camera for graduating. I love this camera i've had it for a couple months now. The HD video quality is excellent. the picture quality is not as good as a bigger camera but thats what you get with a camera this small which is amazing. the quality for the size is what you are buying. Has plenty of settings that make it easy to take a picture at any time or any place. the only major setback is that the camera has to be held extremely still for a good shot otherwise it will be a blur.

  • Poor Image Quality

I previously had the L200 which was a great camera until it went swimming. The image quality was great on that one. You could take a picture and then zoom in all the way and it would show crystal clear detail. That is not the case with the TL105. I tried every single function and I can't get a clear picture. I thought I was upgrading but this thing is really garbage. Maybe it is defective. The night shooting is horrible too. The images all come out foggy with weird water marks all over.

  • Great Bang For Buck

This is a great camera at the $150 price point, (even better if you can get it cheaper), the functions are great, the zoom is great (would love a 5x, but not a big deal), Smart button feature is awesome, and on a SDHC Card the 720p video it can took is really good.

  • Perfect for portability, easy to use

This camera is small and portable, and fairly inexpensive. Fits well in my pocket and takes great pictures. Zoom is comparable to other small point & shoot cameras. I bought it as a low-cost solution when I left my camera at home on vacation. Definitely worth the money!

  • Good camera for the price and available functions

This Samsung camera is the second of this brand that I bought. I was hesitant to buy another Samsung because the previous one had a long delay in the picture processing, but I figured it may have been my SD card. This camera did not disappoint me. Though I've only had it for a day, it has worked out well to my expectations. Fast power up time, write speed to the card is fast as well, so there isn't a long delay between taking the picture and viewing it on screen. The zoom is by far one of the fastest I've seen so far, and it comes with x4 optical zoom, which is nicer than the average x3. Some things I'm concern about are the covers on the charging port and the battery cover. When the covers are open, both are a bit flimsy, and would move around; just be careful with how hard they are jostled. The camera body itself is sturdy with the aluminum body. Camera is pretty thin and light, buttons on the camera are decently sized. The mode function is easy to operate, since all the settings are grouped into organized categories and comes with descriptions. Haven't played around much with the special features function, but it's nice to know that I have all the options; one that is fun is the fisheye effect. What I like about this camera is the 'smart' function, which automatically adjusts to what your camera is pointed to, whether it's the lighting, the distance, etc. It also does this for the video function as well. I've read elsewhere to make sure that you get a SDHC (minimum class 4) card for the HD 720p recording quality, but I've tried it on my 1gb normal SD card, and it's worked out well so far with no delays or lags in write speed. This camera is so far so good. All my friends that have tried taking pictures with it have liked what's shown up on the screen. I would definitely recommend this camera to anyone looking for a decently priced, thin camera with good functions.

  • Camera works great with major design flaws

This camera takes great pictures but has major manufacture flaws. The closure part designed for the battery charging area does not close. It constantly opens. I thought it was just the camera I had but I switched it for another one and it did the exact same thing. This camera would be better if I didn't have to put tape on a brand new camera to keep it closed.

  • Great camera, no real flaws!

Replaced another camera with this one to have a sleek, small compact camera to fit in the pocket. I've only had it 3 days, but so far this camera is awesome and worth every penny. Camera has a 4x optical zoom which brings you in plenty close and tons of scene modes! Especially like the Portrait modes that include Beautify, blink detection, smile detection, etc. Wonderful low light photos! Pictures have turned out great and full of color with lots of detail. Build quality is great and feels sturdy! Only two things that could have been improved on. I am a little worried about the small door that covers the charger port, it appears that it could break off easily if not taken care of. Also, when in Movie mode filming, if you zoom you loose sound, maybe I've not done something right. Just one more piece of advice for someone buying this camera, make sure to get a Class 6 (minimum Class 4) SDHC card. Any card with a slower speed will make you wait. this is not the camera's fault, just something that comes along with the technology and size of the files! Highly recommended camera if the lose of sound while zooming in movie mode will not bother you!
