  • Excellent Phone Quality

This phone is one of the best telephones i have ever owned! I'm a electronic junky and I am always buying electronic gadgets and such. The talking caller id, the built in speakerphone in each handset as well as in the base is great. I dropped one of the handsets of a sawhorse onto concrete and it had no problem with the impact. The Ringtones are fabulous, the display is great and the phone just feels perfect. The bluetooth is a nice feature for your cell phone as well as being able to place the second handset anywhere in the house without a phone line being near it.. Panasonic has made another great phone and I highly recommend this to anyone!

  • this phone is just average

It is laborious to program the phone book , maybe it is just too much for the average senior citizen I really liked the older model better, lots of program stuff involved in setting up a simple directory. I don't care about having it available to cell phone tho I do have one and I don't care about having blue tooth tech stuff either. I would not recommend this phone model to senior citizens even if they are pretty up to date on tech stuff.

  • Nice phone for small office

I purchased this to replace my old V-Tek as its batteries were shot and price for new batteries was almost as much as a new phone. What I liked is the fact the batteries for this phone are simple rechargable AAA batteries available anywhere. The phone is clear and range appears good. Have not had a chance to try out a bluetooth on it as of yet. But overall good phone with decent features.

  • Invalid Specifications

Are there any Panasonic phones that have speed dial Answers * A: Hello RR, this KX-TG6582T does not have a speed dial option. The models, KX-TG6631B, KX-TG6632B and the KX-TG6633B has 3 touch dial buttons on the base. The KX-TG6591T and the KX-TG6592T is also capable of storing 3 touch dial numbers and it is accessible on both base and handsets The Specifications (shown below) on the Best Buy Website for this phone say: Speed-Dial Memory 10-number memory but above in the 48/49 Questions and Answers on the Best Buy Website underneath the picture, price and in the Overview column you explicitly say " this KX-TG6582T does not have a speed dial option." as I pasted from the Q & A on the very top of this review. I have just taken the phone out of the box and started charging it, so I can not answer any of the other questions relevant to Sound, Range, and Durability, but I hope I can find a work-a-round for this Speed-Dial Memory incorrect advertising, otherwise I may have to return the item.

  • Annoying

It took a few weeks to try out the phone's various features. It turns out that the more we used it, the less we liked it. We returned it after a few weeks. Our cell phones synced nicely, and that was a useful feature. Most of the time, they would sync when we entered the house, and disconnect automatically when we left. However, on 2-3 occasions, our cell phones did NOT disconnect, and we would receive calls when we were away from home, and we could not answer them until we would manually go through the cell phone's menu and disconnect the bluetooth. On a few other occasions, while we were at home the connection between the cell and handset would get dropped, and the only way to reestablish it was by turning the cell phone off and back on. Call waiting did not work consistently, especially when we were on the phone and our cell phones would ring (we could not click over to the other call). Also, we could initially make outgoing calls on our cell phones using the handset, but that feature wasn't working properly the last 2 days we had it. VERY ANNOYING! We use our cell phones for texting, and the handset does nothing for texting (it does not even beep to indicate that a text has been received). That meant that we still have to have our cell phones near us in the house instead of relying on the handset. We did not like the caller id menu. It would tell us on the first screen that it was a call from a cell phone, but we would have to push a 2nd button to see the caller's # displayed. Our old cordless phones simply showed the #, and a name if one was available, with the push of 1 button. When reviewing calls on caller id, it's annoying to have to go to 2 screens for 1 call. We liked 2 features: 1) the headset jack and the belt clip for hands-free talking 2) The silent feature, so we could program each handset to not ring overnight (we could select the exact hours that we wanted it to be silent).

  • Excellent Phone I Love it !

I am really pleased with this Bluetooth enabled phone. I tried others and this one is more intuitive and the battery lasts longer. (My perception) This phone has 1 talk button for all incoming calls, with other phones you had to look to see if the incoming call was a cell or LAN line and then select the appropriate incoming line. (my wife could not get past that) There were some negative comments about the number of codes in other reviews. Yes there are codes, you don't need them as you can access all items through the menu, it does make setup quicker if you use the codes. Sound quality is very good, there is a small delay when answering a cell phone call, that my wife has not worked out to handle. (try saying hello a second time dear :-) Note you only get 2 handsets in the box. I am now thinking about buying an additional handset. The price for 2 handsets was more than other companies that offered 3 handsets. The individual handsets seem to be expensive.

  • Great landline phone with BlueTooth capability

I use this phone, together with my BlueTooth headset, in my home office for making handsfree conference calls. I can take meeting minutes with ease, or take advantage of my freedom of movement to multi-task around my office during a call. Registering my BlueTooth headset with the base unit was a breeze, and I have not yet experienced the problem with dropped registration that some other writers have complained about. Sometimes, I have to tap my headset a few times to make a connection with the base, and there is a noticeable pause before the two sync up. But once connected, everything works like a charm. The range copuld be better, but I strongly suspect that the limitation is not with this phone, but with my headset and I plan on upgrading to a better quality BlueTooth headset. My primary purpose in purchasing this phone was to obtain the BlueTooth capabilty, so I have not played much with the phone's many other features. But the handset menus are easy to navigate, the speaker phone feature works well and I haven't found anything to complain about.

  • Good Phone but ...

Bought this as a replacement for my old Panasonic specifically because of the bluetooth feature that allows linking a cell phone to the Panasonic. Well, too bad for me as my cell phone is NOT compatible (an HTC EVO) so it will not link. Guess I should have read the fine print as I assumed that because my phone met the BT standards that connecting should not be a problem - well it is.

  • Perfect phone solution cell and landline combo use

In our home, we have three lines, a landline, and two cell phones. Our Nokia cell phones on AT&T only received adequate coverage in a couple of spots inside the house, and calls would drop if we moved an inch. I looked for a product that would do exactly what this Panasonic phone does: when home, we leave the cell phones in one spot in the house that receives adequate cell coverage. I linked both cell phones to the Panasonic phone system via the Bluetooth setup, and now we never miss a call. In addition, some excellent goodies with these Panasonic phones: the handsets have a jack for a headset! (hard to find this feature on other brands); the handsets and base unit can use the same ring tone that we have on our cell phones; if we did not want a landline, the handsets can be used like a normal landline phone with no error messages (like on a similar Motorola phone); phone can block calls for up to 20 numbers that the user sets (it rings once, then sends a busy tone to the caller), and much more (but those are my favorites!). Never once in a month has a call been dropped, no static, phone receives great signal inside the house, outside, in detached garage, cellar, attic, etc. I have not used the answering machine feature, nor the Bluetooth headset feature. The only improvement needed in my opinion is that the "phonebook" feature loads names and numbers slower than I would like (I imagine this is because the "phonebook" is stored on the Base Unit, so the handsets must access it over the air to display the data on each phone). Overall, this is the best cordless phone I have ever owned in terms of quality, sound, and features. It is well worth having spent the extra money for a Panasonic.

  • Good for connecting to the cell phone

We do not have good cell coverage so this phone has been nice. We have the cell phone where we get one or two bars. We can leave it there and are able to make calls from anywhere in the house by using this phone. So I am pleased with that. The phone has lost connection two the cell phone twice but I was able to reconnect without much difficulty. The answering machine works but it is not as good as others that I have. I am thinking of buying a separate answering machine.

  • Great Phone

We were using an old Panasonic phone from a long time ago, and finally upgrade to this phone. It is an excellent replacement. Has bluetooth feature, and many other that we didn't have before. Everything is good except sometime we hear echo.

  • Not really benefitting from the bluetooth

thought it would be beneficial to have the blue-tooth sync in the office, less radiation also, but have so far found it more a nuisance than benefit. Just recently disconnected the blue-tooth aspect. Will try it again in the summer. Wish the base had an LCD readout so you could see the number you are dialing, and see caller ID.

  • WORKS GREAT!

I do not know what happened to my previous review but I was checking stock to see if it was avail as I am giving one as a gift for Christmas. This phone works great! As for the comments on losing the blue tooth connection, it tells you that your cell phone has to be within so many feet from the actual base. Great range! Clear calls on blue tooth. Able to take a call from my cell on one handset and take or make a call from the land line on the other handset. I charge my cell phone near the base and do not have to worry about missing a cell call as it rings to all of the handsets. I did purchase an extra handset from bestbuy.com so I would have 3 of them. Real easy set up - just read the instructions. The headset feature is if you are in the same room as the base. The best feature is to be able to keep your cell on charge but answer if from phones throughout the house. If you take a cell call through the handset and have to leave, you can goto the menu and have it transfer the call to the cell phone. Excellent phone!

  • Excellent land line phone. Poor using cell phone.

This phone has lots of great features, not the least of which are large lighted buttons and display and good sound quality on land line. Cell calls had static and breaking up even though I typically have excellent cell reception in my home.

  • Not happy. It took # of 1st cell for 2nd also.

The sound quality is poor, and the volume cannot be adjusted very high. The worst thing is that we could only get one cell phone set up properly. When we set up the 2nd one, it assigned the same # as for the first, and I cannot get it out of the system. I have e-mailed Panasonic, received a msg that they'd get to me in 2-3 days. That has been over a week ago and I have not heard anything from them. I would not advise anyone to purchase this product!

  • Interesting concept

Not easy to set up. Haven't figured out if it all goes away in a black out - OMG NO!!! Basics (i.e. time, date, voice mail message) are easy to figure out. When it came to including the cellphone it took some effort and several tries. Still haven't gotten this phone to copy my contact phone book from the cell phone. That WILL be sweet. I like that this set of phones has a headset jack on the side. The quick start sheet gets the basics going. Some of the directions are a bit more challenging, but over all easy to do with a bit of patience.

  • Great Phone and Great Concept

When I came across this product I initially thought, "no way!" But this phone is everything it claims to be plus more. Before I decided to purchase this model, I was wanting to know if you could make a call out on the land-line (base unit has RJ45 jack) while on a cellular call using the Bluetooth feature. No one at the store nor at Panasonic could answer my question. But I decided to buy the phone anyways and to my amazement, the answer to that is YES!! You can receive/make a call on one handset Bluetoothed to your mobile phone and at the same time, pick up the other handset and place a call using your land-line. This is just what I needed. Price is reasonable and you can add more wireless handset units. My only "complaint" is the Bluetooth signal has a tendency to drop if I am more than 20-30 feet from the base unit or particularly if the signal is going through a brick wall.....like I'm outside. But other than that, the phone is great and I"m really excited to have the freedom this phone brings to my office.

  • Nice phone

The phones look nice and has great features. Only problem I have with it is the volume is too low even when on the highest volume.

  • Not that great!

First and foremost is the quality of the audio; It is OK but not great! There is a lot of feedback in the handset especially with background noise. The menus only go half way! There are a lot of functions and features that you must access with the "#" codes. This should all have been put in the menu structure. Just don't lose that manual! I do like the Bluetooth capabilities. I do not have a long distance carrier for my land line so I use my cell to make those calls. It is so nice to be able to just pick up the house phone and place a cell call with no additional effort. Just leave the cell phone in your purse or on the charger and it automatically links up when you enter your home. Bluetooth headsets work OK as long as you stay close to the base station. I cannot even go into the next room without it becoming noisy and dropping the link. This is a Plantronic Voyager Pro so I think it is the phone and not my headset. For me, the volume is just a little low even at the highest level. We of the older generation do need a little help. The handsets are a little small and uncomfortable on the ears especially during those marathon conversations. Would I buy this phone again, given a second chance? Probably not!

  • Great Phone Fair Price

After doing a fair amount of research, I chose this phone mainly because of it's ability to link my cell phone with it. It was easy to set up. It is also a convenient physical size for me, and it has a large display, always showing time and date. I chose Best Buy's store pick up option because I didn't think this model would be easily available in every store. It was in the store the next day, and I was right that it didn't come to my closest store, but that point turned out just great because I met several new employees who helped me with many of my questions.

  • It's ok

Look, the phone looks great, its cool that i can sync my cell phone with it. But the ring is soo quite, and also the speaker phone is also extremely quite... Over all the phone quality is good, clear, just quite. Also too quite.. and once again quite all around!!!!

  • Fantastic Phone with GREAT Features!

I had been debating with myself on buying this cordless system for the last 2-3 months, and after I got it home and tested it out I couldn't believe I had waited so long! The set up was easy enough, just plug it in and go. I waited overnight until I started using the handsets so that the batteries could fully charge, and then tried everything out. The screen size on the handsets is huge! I love that. There were settings to customize and set up the phones which was nice too. When I went in to set up my phone I didn't even have to be near the base which was great. My iPhone 4 paired easily, and I set it so that when I got a phonecall on my cell phone it would ring differently than my regular landline ringtone. To my pleasant surprise the next phone call I received on my cell phone came to the handset, and the ringtone was the same as what my cell phone plays! I was astounded! Couple that with great call quality on both landline and cell phone calls, long battery life, large screen, being able to use a Bluetooth headset for landline phone calls, and the fact that I could download my entire phonebook from my cell phone into my home phone I can definitely say that this a great produt!

  • Interference

I bought this phone because I really liked the idea of having the keypad on the base. My previous phone was a Panasonic and if I had to guess I think it is just an older version of this one and LOVED it but the buttons were getting harder to push. Not as happy with this one. First, there is a delay from when you push the talk button on an incoming call to when it actually connects. Second and most importantly, every call, incoming or outgoing, there is interference noise like a hum almost like its channel searching about 5 seconds into the call and last about 2 seconds. VERY ANNOYING! Very disappointed that I'm going to have to return it. =(

  • Great Phone

Great Phone. The screen is big to see the person calling. Also when someone is calling the phone tells you who is calling. You can also transfer your cell phone to this base and it will ring.
