  • Fun Game

I like how the game progresses so your brain stimulation is increasingly enhanced the longer it is played. It's lots of fun and great for all types of gamers!

  • Easy and fun!

As a said, I have my doubts about whether it really "strengthens and stimulates" you brain, but it's still fun to play (I especially like the Sudoku.) Definitely worth the $20.

  • Good for training your brain.

This game is great for counting which you must know how to do if you wish to succed with the game. There are about 10 different apps you can do with the game.

  • Really fun game

Brain Age is a great game that will definitely challenge your brain. The different training games on it really get your mind working. There are some games that can be unlocked by the number of stamps that you obtain through doing the training. Each day you play the training mode you will receive a stamp. It is a fun game for all ages. There is even Sudoko games on it too. The game will last along time and keep you interested in playing for hours, especially if you like doing Sudoko puzzles. Overall, its a really fun and entertaining game for all ages.

  • Overall very good

Overall I think this is a very good game but it is one that needs to be played on a regular basis. I would have liked to have seen a few more types of games more along the lines of the Mind Quiz for PSP but overall satisfied with game. Sometimes the voice recognition seems to fall a little behind (when answering math questions)

  • good game but needs improvement

my only complaint with this game was in the math part..sometimes i would draw a 4 and it would register as a 1, 9 or 6. it was frustrating, you just have to write the numbers like the system does and it corrects the issue. other than that the game was fun, and is great if you only have a few minutes to play a game while waiting in line or something becuase the tests do not last long. the game does help you "train your brain" just like school, if you practice something you will get faster and better at it. a nice refressher for those of us who have been out of school for 10+ years. it does help you get faster at calculating and thinking faster. great game and a good alternative to keep things fresh in your mind.

  • Terrific Game

I got this game to keep my mind active and it sure has helped. The math section has actually helped me at work and I noticed that my memory seems to have improved a bit. When I first tested for it my mind was at an 88.. now I'm 29! Wish my body was too!

  • Not Your Correct Age

We bought this for my niece for her birthday. And we have so much fun with it. I now feel like a kid again. I want one to. But in silver. "Oh yes a child or an adult can play it, you're never to old". It's a refresher course in math class back when I was in school. They have this other game with people moving in and out of the house. You need to study to see who's left in the house. Another game that you have to shout out the colors that you see correctly, also a neat feature that you study this word list for 45 seconds, next you have seconds later to spell it the right way or you don't get the credit. Then you see what letters that you missed. Oh well try tomorrow.

  • boring

when I first bought this game I thought it would be fun then it got really boring when started playing and there was not mutch of a variety of games you sort of play the same games over and over again.

  • not a good game

this game is an ok game.It is not the best game because it is not addicting or fun to play.If you like games that are for testing your brain, I would recommend this game.

    Review by ().

  • great challenge

Really not a game, more of a training excercise. It's very repetitive but worth the price. My only complaint is during the math portions it sometimes doesn't pick up the number you write in. Other than that this is a great game.

  • don't waist your money on this

This game is a good trainer for your brain but the numbers are hard to make noticeable for the ds. Another thing bad about this is it get's boring real fast.

    Review by ().

  • very good training

Its fun to play when you are bored and want to work on retaining things more easily. Its cute and simple but might get a little boring after a while. Too bad it doesnt have a lot of challenges

  • average game

this is a average game. the only thing positive I can say about this game is that it's suppose to help you think fast and boost your mental capacity. now the things that go wrong in this game. first, the graphics are not impressive, considering that this is not really a game is what brings this title down. the controls are also bad. you use the stylus for everything. the gameplay is repetitve and will get boring really fast. I can not recommend this game because it is so boring. perhaps if they would have created actual gameplay in this title, It could have recieved a higher score, but it is what it is. and the sudoku game is so confusing that there is no point in even playinig the game, and a total waste of time. I say this is a pass and purchase a game that behaves like a game and not this terrrible concept of a title.

  • Good fun but simple

It was a fun game, but not so great yes it is good to train your brain but dont expect to play it for long periods of time. Not much of a challenge. Some are, like the memory games I would buy it though because of the price and the way it is My dog chewed mine up But once I put it back in my DS it still worked! Strong chip if you ahve dogs mine chewed holes in it and it still worke d Recommended: YES!

  • Not Really A Game At All

This is a weird one. I had to give it low stars in some of the categories, because they simply don't apply to this "game." It is simply a series of brain-training excercises. It is good for fifteen minutes or so each day, but don't expect it to occupy it for hours. With that said, it's cheap, different, and worthy of being in your collection.

  • The Best Brain-training Game

I've tried many of the brain-training software for the DS, but the Brain Age series has to be my favorite; the games are fun with some challenge, and I've got to say, I can't get enough sudoku. The stroop test can get a bit tiring after a while, but the many other activities you can unlock (and the fact that you don't have to play all of them, the game only asks that you try at lesat 3 a day) allow a broader arrangement for activities. The multiplayer games are also fun, as I constantly find myself pestering my boyfriend to play the word scramble with me (so I can beat him!). And, of course, there's the sudoku -- lots of puzzles to do with many different levels of challenge. Young children might get frustrated with some of the activities. This game, and Brain Age 2, are must-haves.

  • Fun way to stay fresh

Good game to help keep your brain fresh, but it is lacking in that it only has a couple of minigames that can get old pretty fast.

  • ITS A OK GAME!!

THIS GAME IS SOME WHAT FUN IN THE BEGINING BUT ARTER YOU PLAY IT FOR A WEEK IT GETS BORING. THE GAMES THEY HAVE ON IT ARE REALY SIMPLY AND YOU NEED TO TRAIN FOR 20 DAYS UNTIL YOU GET THE GAME. I THINK THE GAME IS BORING BUT I STILL PLAY IT ONCE IN A WHILE. DONT BUY!!!!

  • Keep it Sharp

This is a great product for keeping your mind on it toes. It is fun to play and at the same time it is exercise for your brain. Experts claim that playing these types of puzzles are important for boosting your memory, reasoning, and creative thinking. I would recommend this to anyone, but especially the aging generation.

    Review by ().

  • GREAT TO STAY "FIT"

When I first got Brain Age I was very skeptical the game would have any degree of fun to it. But I was wrong. There are a ton of activities that keep the game interesting and your brain healthy. It's a great morning activity. My favorite part is the basic math activity which consists of several math problems (multiplication, subtraction, division). I would definitely recommend this game to anyone who wants to keep their brain fit.

  • Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day!

Brain Age is a great game and I recommend this for anyone who is over 20 and has a DS. It would be good for younger people as well, but you do need to know how to read and follow directions as well as know how to do math (adding, subtracting, multiplication, and division). When you test your "Brain Age" the lowest it can go is 20 is why I say if you are over 20 years old though. This game is a single player game for the most part but you can compete between a couple people, the reason it is better with more then one person though is because when you play the game it will ask you to draw pictures of things, or an idea. When another person logs in it may ask them to name what you drew, or maybe compare their picture to yours. You can get up to 4 people playing on the same cartridge and if you can manage to do that and have all 4 play on a regular basis it makes it more fun. Also, every day that you do a training you get a stamp on your calendar, as you get more stamps new things open up for you to do on the game. This game is a load of fun but you are not going to get much play time out of it in total. As an addition you get 100 Sudoku puzzles to solve as well. You really can't lose with this game. (In my opinion)

  • GREAT.. Learning Game!!!

This game or learning product is great. Children to adults can enjoy this product. It combines daily games to help work your brain. I bought Brainage for my my 12 yr old brother thinking he may no like the game because it had no fighting or capturing objects, but instead he loved it he plays his daily training and is always looking forward to beating his on score. I would recommend this to anyone!!

  • Challenging for young and old!!!

After playing this game you start to realise that everyone has something to learn and I think that's just what the doctor that designed the game meant it to be, keep up on your daily training and you will notice a difference in how your mind reacts, you'll wonder why you didn't buy brain age #1 (like me).

  • Works, and it's fun!

I received this along with Brain Age 2 and Flash Focus for Christmas with my DS and I love these games. It's fun to find out what your brain age is - but it's harder with other people in the room! I wasn't expecting the Sudoku on this version, but it taught me how to play and I am already halfway through the Easy puzzles. It also gives you tips and tricks about things to do all day long to improve your memory and brain age, some that I had never thought of before! I think this is a great game for anyone.

  • Great Challenges

This game has a great variety of mind-stimulating challenges. I like playing this daily to see how 'young' my mind can possibly get. The doctor is quite humorous and the graphs showing your progress are great to look at, especially compared to others that play the game with you.

  • Highly recommended

I would highly recommend this game to all those interested in maintaining some moderate level of brain activity. It's also fun and entertaining. I enjoy the Suduko part of it since I am a huge Suduko fan and you can also have other people (notably friends, spouses, family members) join in on the fun and "compete" with your brain age. The daily training part of it is also rewarding as you get to see how much you have approved from the last training. I haven't bought Brain Age 2 but I'm sure going to get it now that I know the first one is awesome.

  • This is a great game.

This is a great game. My family owns this one, along with Brain Age 2. This game is unlike many video games, and is both good for your brain, and fun. In this game you can either spend your time training your brain up, or testing to see what age your brain is. There are tips and hints to go along with the game, and some unlockables, which makes the game even more fun when you unlock them. The game says that it is good for your brain to train once a day, and doing this is no hassle. In addition to being able to train your brain, this game also offers sudoku, a puzzle that involves placing numbers in their correct places on a grid. I must admit that I was never any good at sudoku, and could not complete most of the puzzles. However, that didn't change my fun with this game. Plus, if you have any family members or friends who want to play, and you don't want them messing with your personal data, you can allow them to choose quick play mode, which gives them the general idea of what this game is about. However, after playing quick play mode, Dr. Kawashima (The guy leading you through the game) tries to sell the game to them, a.k.a. telling them all the wonderful things they can do when they finally decide to buy the game. Overall, this game is great and I highly recommend that you buy it.

  • Alright Purchase

I am addicted to this game! I love this game for a number of reasons. 1- It has Sudoku on it! 2- It really isn't a video game, it's more of an educational tool! and 3- I really like the doctor in it. He says the most amusing things I've ever heard.

  • School with an all new view!

Are you ready to get that brain out of hybernation? Because this game takes concentration back to the school desk, but with a gameish spin. It is very entertaining if you like to think a little during your day, and it has fun puzzles along with SUDOKU. However, there are some games that you have to speak into, which can be frustrating when the game doesn't understand what you've said. Also if you are competitive like me there are four save slots so that you can play against other people you know and compare graphs. This one is fun and can real test your intelligence.

  • Bargin for $20

Brain Age is a wonderful game, especially for the $20 beginning price. The exercises within the game stimulate brain activity...something many video games simply overlook. Some exercises will become repetitive though. There are many extras to unlock throughout the duration of the game. The problem with this is it's based on how many days you play the game. This can take quite some time if you don't play it everyday. Also, there's nothing left to do once you've unlocked all the game has to offer. Overall, if you're interested in the game purely for the brain stimulation, this is one you need to pick up for you will never tire, nor become disappointed. Purchasing Brain Age for any other reason will more than likely end in sorrow.

  • Fun Stuff

I really like this game. I actually bought the DS so that I could play it...

  • Sudoku is the best part

The mini games in this title are fun, but it's pretty easy to get perfect "brain age". However, the Sudoku game that's included in this title is very addictive and keeps you playing the game long after the Brain Age gimmick has worn off. Because it uses the touch screen and handwriting recognition, it's one of the best portable Sudoku games out there!

    Review by ().

  • Fun at first

Fun and engaging games/exercises. Early on you find yourself returning often to see if you have improved your brain age. However, the novelty and interest of the game begins to wear thin after a few weeks.

  • Great Game

This game is great, I bought it for myself, and my wife and son have basically taken it away from me. My wife and I like to play against each other. Just an overall good game for the whole family.

  • Entertaining Game!

I had a lot of fun with this game. When I first bought it I had everyone doing it to see how old they were. Needless to say we all had the brain age of a senior citizen. Still it was a lot of fun and we were all super entertained.

  • Must have for kids and adults

This is one of the best games I have played on the Nintendo DS. Great challanges that get harder as you advance throughout the game. If you are planning to buy your kids the Nintendo DS this is a must buy for them.

  • very different, but good

Got the game with my DS last year, free from Best Buy I should add, and was surprised I enjoyed the game. My girlfriend enjoyed it much more, and spent hours playing sudoku. She loved it so much we bought a different sudoku game, and was disappointed the format of the game was not like Brain Age, which was very simple and easy to use. If for anything else, buy for the sudoku.

    Review by ().

  • It's good

I loved this game. I bought it for my mom for christmas and then had to go buy one for myself. I can spend hours playing the mind games and then start paying Soduko.

  • Fun Exercises and Sudoku

This is my favorite game to play on the DS. It is especially great for morning commutes (not while you are driving!) or flights. The games are often challenging and most of them are fun. I never liked Sudoku until I played it in Brain Age. The touch screen system for Sudoku instead of paper and pencil is just what I needed. The "easier" mode is great to start learning strategies.

    Review by ().

  • Great Fun and a Great Challenge

Fun and challenging for all ages and brains. It is the most fun when you have multiple people on one DS so you can compare your brain ages and activities.

    Review by ().

  • Interesting..but...

I like the idea of this game, and it is pretty fun for the first couple weeks, but for me, I lost interest fairly quickly. I'd be interested in seeing the newer version.

  • Brain Age

This is addictive and a game that you need to do everyday. I had to ask myself, am I really training my brain or am I just memorizing the routine? Voice recogniation a problem, it doesn't understand the word Blue most of the time. All in all, it's worth buying.

  • Great Game but You'll Get Bored

This is a really fun, menatlly stimulating game. Anyone will want to play. The only drawback to the game: in my opinion is that the game can get a bit boring after playing the game for a while because you need to play for some time before more activities are unlocked. I would recommend this to anyone with a Nintendo DS.

    Review by ().

  • Great Game, however BA2 is more challenging

Brain Age is a fun game for all ages. I purchased this after I got Brain Age 2. Both games are based on the same concept - doing daily activities that stimulate and train your brain. However, after a couple of weeks, you get the knack of the games and can achieve the "20" score very easily. I also agree that voice recognition can be irritating. The Sodoku games are a plus!

    Review by ().

  • a good purchase

The game is very good. They have a wide variety of brain games to play on it . It all so has sudouko which is very fun. The only reason why it lost a star is because the voice recognition dose not awalys work right plus you can't play a game more than once a day.

  • Brain Age is fun for the whole family!!!!

My kids LOVE to play Brain Age and I do too... one of our favorite games on it is where they show you colors that are written in a word, such as BLUE but the ink is actually in black so you are supposed to say "BLACK" but you have to really concentrate so you don't say the word you are reading... It keeps showing you words and you keep shouting out the answers and then it will "rate" your age depending upon your accuracy! It is very fun. It has lots more challenges like that one that any age can enjoy. I highly recommend it because it improves your memory, quick thinking skills, and much more. Play and grow at the same time!! =)

    Review by ().

  • Great Purchase

the game really does test your brain skills and you would be surprised at how fast or slow you react to some of the questions. The sodoku is a lot of fun and gets very addicting.

  • Very cool and helpful game

I think this game is pretty awesome ive had it for a while and still have not gotten bored, i would recommend it to anyone who is borderline on getting it...Lots of training modes to work your way up to and just all around good practice for your brain..no lie! One of the best parts is that its got sodoku, thats pretty cool. Yeah lots of quick modes when you want to excersize your brain but dont have time to sit...well to wrap this up, great game and is recommended by me and my whole family, have fun !

    Review by ().

  • Good for the whole family

But only room for 4! So, do you think your brain is more spry than your spouses?! There's a way to find out. The goal is not to have the highest score (old timer!), but to have a younger, fresher brain. The games, once all opened/acquired, are repetitious. Rapid fire simple math problems, reading and speaking out loud, matching, etc. All timed. A tired brain will give you slower times, your host will remind you that you're not up to par. Your scores are charted. It's a great learning tool as well. If all else fails...it has sudoku.
