Still love it. No LCD options for this size of TV

Mines the older model without the 3D capability. No. It is not as bright and as crisp as a good quality LCD. This is great in a media room that doesn't get too bright during the day and of course is good at night anywhere. But if you do a lot of daytime watching in a bright room, go LCD and with a 55" model. But don't get me wrong, it's plenty watchable in a bright room. It's just that an LCD is much better for this. I have not had one problem with TV whatsoever. I have a media room and nearly all of my TV time is evening anyway. So, this TV is great for us. The size is just unbeatable. I've had mine for 3 1/2 years now and it still looks great. Sometimes I wonder if the brightness has gone down just a little since new but I'm still on the original bulb. I should probably buy a spare bulb just to have on hand. Even if the original burned out today, I would happy that I got that kind of time out of it. But, as I understand it, the bulbs don't burn out. They just get more dark with time used. I paid $2,500 for this TV and another $350 for a 5 year warranty. So, I think they are superb buys at the price they can be had for now.

Great TV.

The other reviewer likely is mad that they paid a lot more to have the TV a few years ago. This TV is great when using a source other than regular SD TV. It still is not bad with it but if you can get an HD cable or satellite box you will be much happier. Video games I have never seen better on any tv and I own multiple LCD and Plasma tvs. Very happy with the purchase and you will be too.
