Better Than CoD
Call of Duty fans will not like this game due to the fact that you have to think about your next move rather than running and gunning. If you take that route you will die alot in multiplayer. I think this game has been over looked because of bigger titles like CoD and Battlefield. I also feel if more time was put into this game it would be in the running for game of the year or close. Both single & multiplayer are great but multiplayer is the most fun. Great game if you can get out of the CoD mode.

Better online play than COD
Campaign has a great realistic feel to it, with great graphics and sound. The multiplayer isn't the same as COD and doesn't try to be. Definately breaks the mold and feels like how more online matches should be. Its hard to get going at first though. But thats because it takes true skill to play this game as opposed to COD with campers, knifers, and nubetubers.

WAY BETTER THAN BLACK OPS!!!!!!
this game is amazing. the online is just to good. the campaign is also great. black ops isnt even in the same league with MOH. i have only laged 2 times on moh and i have played it for 15 hours, i cant even count how many times i have laged on black ops and i have only played it for 2 hours. dont listen to anyone who dosent like this game, they are probably just horrible at it.

Just Another War-based FPS
Let me begin by saying I'm a casual gamer who will on occasion step into the world of "hardcore gaming." This game - definitely not one of those games. Furthermore, as I write this I have yet to play the multiplayer, but seeing as the gameplay fluctuates so much in online play, I judge games based on how the campaign runs. Medal of Honor, although an up-to-date game surrounded by controversy, lacks innovation and excitement. There are plenty of hairy situations the player is faced with, but those familiar with FPS, even on Medium/Hard difficulty, will find themselves simply "running and gunning" their way through levels. Character build-up is slow, textures are pixelated, I found it hard to care about my squadmates, even though they supplied me with an unlimited amount of ammo (for friendly weapons.)

Gotta Give it a Try!
All right guys this game got a bum rap before it even came out as far as these reviews go. If you look most if not all of the 1* reviews came out before the game was even released. Now as far as the game goes it is a lot of fun. Campaign is fun but could be a little longer and a little more difficult. It's not easy especially if you try to actually play the game without dying and playing tactical but you can just run and gun through it pretty quickly if you just wanna finish it. And for the multiplayer this is not at all COD. Great for a change. Does not require the teamwork that Battlefield encourages either so it's not another battlefield. What it is is just a fun strategic FPS online experience. You have to move from cover to cover and keep you weapon at the ready just as you would expect to do in combat. Run out in the open and expect to dieand die quickly. So give it a shot its really a fun game online and off!

Excellent game that is neglected
Medal of Honor is an excellent first person shooter. It has an entertaining single-player campaign, a challenging Tier 1 Mode (in which you clear levels under a certain amount of time), and an excellent multiplayer experience. The reason why this game has gotten so many low reviews is because it was released in the wake of giants such as Call of Duty: Black Ops and Halo Reach. However, low reviews should not deter you from getting this game. Let me put it to you this way. If you like games like Battlefield Bad Company 2 or any of the Call of Duty games, you are going to like Medal of Honor. This game has a very unique feel from any of the Call of Duty games. You can definitely feel this in the emphasis that Medal of Honor places on teamwork, and in the pacing of multiplayer. Medal of Honor is definitely closer to realism than any shooter out in the market. In conclusion, you should get this game if you enjoy first person shooters. You will not be disappointed. Do not let low reviews deter you from experiencing this great game. The developers of this game worked hard to give their fans a great experience, and I have a feeling that Medal of Honor will be a formidable enemy to other first-person shooter games in the future.

Overall great
This game is a great one to play if you are looking for a game like Battlefield Bad Company 2. The graphics are great and the way that multiplayer gameplay is setup is really fun. The only let-down that i noticed was the short campaign mode. It wasn't very long but the story was great. Call of Duty games are gay because they are unrealistic and overrated.

Great single player in a MOH Game
The single-player campaign is a ton of fun. The MP is fun as you rank up and gain additional unlocks. The servers can be annoying and the spawn system is a bit flawed, but it's okay. I did not like the MP experience, but the single-player was worth playing.

Great game for hardcore Gamers~
This game is of the up most realistic I have played thus far. Okay we all know that there are minute things that they will fix the next time they release a game. Cod players don't like because it's too realistic and they can't run around like an idiot spraying everywhere. I was among the few who actually took things slow in Cod to trick myself into thinking it was realistic. Just because you're K/D isn't 1000 and 2 doesn't mean the games bad, it just means you suck at strategy. Go play Cod if you wanna run around and think you're good at strategy. Graphics/Sounds/Gameplay are all the best I have seen so far from any first person shooter. The HUD is also so clean when playing, you don't have some stupid symbols all over the screen. I would recommend to gamers who think or like playing realistic games and making their own strategy. Another plus is that you can customize weapons for your taste. For example: If you love and want to be a sniper type player, You just keep using the sniper and as you get better you'll unlock more and more attachments for you're weapon. Each weapon has their' own stats along with your overall player. All in all most realistic game by far beside America's Army. Original Medal of Honor players will be stunned by how far the game has come.If you don't believe me go rent it then buy it from BEST BUY!

Not Your Usual Story
Excellent game with a great story, I have read reviews where the story was picked on, but this one is based in real events and how things actually happen. The multi-player is pretty average nothing ground breaking. The main complaint against this game is length. I and 3 of my friends who i lent the game to all beat it with an average time of 4-5 hours.

Solid Gameplay for MoH update.
A Definite Must-Play for First Person Shooters....most people will not like it because they are used to the CoD style shooter. As these take great liberties not only in their storylines but also with their realism. In this case Medal Of Honor went above and beyond to create a shooter of the utmost realism based on the events that took place in the sha-e-khot valley in afghanistan when a SEAL team was to be inserted to recon and overwatch a much greater offensive operation which would become Operation Anaconda. Unfortunately what would happen from then on became known and regarded as the battle for Robert's Ridge in memory of the Navy Seal who was to become the first of many U.S. Special Operations Personnel who would lose their lives on those ridgetops in a desolate and unforgiving country. The Story line of the game is consistant with the real story and it is supported by interactions with S.F. team Wolfpack and Rangers 75th Reg as well a cameo as the "Gunfighters" team of apaches. Multiplayer mode was developed by DICE however lacks the punch and fun synonymous with the Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Multiplayer....so overall a very solid entry for those looking to play a true to life shooter experience. EA definitely impressed but didn't blow anybody away.

Play is not very good, you have to wait to many times for the team before you can go on and finish the chapter. Sometime the play is very choppy making it hard to play. On line maps are way to big need to be smaller. Not near as good as MWF 2, I went back to playing MWF 2 instead of Metal of Honor.

Definitely a rent but not a buy
The story is short, but very fun. I enjoyed the game but the multiplayer was the main drawback for this game and it does not deliver. My biggest gripe is it doesn't team you up with your friends in the game. I play with friends to be on their team, not to shoot them over and over again. Between this and the long load times and having to wait to load the game up so you can back out, it was somewhat frustrating. Also, there was zero customization except for weapon tweeks. Ultimately I felt like it was a copycat of the first Modern Warfare with some small tweeks and grittier graphics. Another negative of playing the game is it made me feel nasaeus, like I had motion sickness or something. It was something to do with the color scheme and the way the screen moved. It was hard sit down and play for a long time due to this. Rent the game and beat the story, because it is a very intense, realistic game, but don't waste your money on this one.

Was Expecting More From EA and Dice
I purchased this game because EA and Dice did so well with Battlefield: Bad Company 2. This game was a BIG disappointment. I never even attempted the single player campaign. My major problem was poor multiplayer design, which is essential to almost all games because it gives them value well after you defeat what are now usually short single player campaigns. The maps are too small to support 24 players at a time. It is virtually impossible to communicate with 12 players on a team; so you essentially have no teamwork. Spawn killing was rampant because you had no choice of spawn point and the designers lacked imagination in establishing their spawn points. The spawn killers simply lined up on the spawn points and fired away, or better still, dropped artillery, when they saw players spawn. That makes them look like better players, when they are at most clever, and it took the fun out of the game for others. The graphics seem to be, generally, various shades of beige, so spotting the opposition was difficult unless your eye spotted their movement. Ranking up did little for the players; you got useless equipment like open tipped ammunition, that didn't kill, and suppressors, that I saw no one use. I played Bad Company 2 almost nightly from March through August with about a dozen friends. But, any time I attempted to join a game with the couple of friends who bought this game, I got a server error. I've already traded-in this game and will be picking up Call of Duty: Black Ops at midnight tonight.

Not what I expected...
MoH was built up to rival CoD, but I feel it fell short to CoD4. The campaign had a good story line and fun missions. But what killed it was its poor graphics. There are times where the graphics are good, but there are several times where graphics are lacking. It seemed to me that EA rushed the development to beat Black Ops. (mistake) The worst thing about the game is the multiplayer. There are a lot of glitches and fixes that need to be made. The maps are small and are becoming a run and gun or sniper fest much like CoD. I did not appreciate that. I was hoping for large vehicle maps similar to Bad Company.

Too short in single player mode
If you are looking to play this without being online, save your money. The game in SP is too short and can be finished in a couple of hours even on the hardest level. You can not get any of the benefits of pre-ordering or special offers from the company unless you are online, and in fact, you can't even go to the Tier 1 or multiplayer portions of the game unless you are connected. Good game, but unfair to those tho aren't on line gamers. If you like FPS games and don't mind shelling out the $ for a short game, then go for it. It is an enjoyable couple of hours of single player game play.

Awesome first person shooter game
I love this game, the campaign is amazing and very interactive but a bit short. The multiplayer feels just like battlefield bad company 2. But it is pretty awesome, I like the fact that when the match starts the map in nice but by the end it is torn to shreds. There are some maps where there are lots of snipers but only a few. All of the game modes are really fun and you can level up your guns. The guns also feel very realistic and none of the modifications you put on your guns feel unnecessary. It really should respected more than call of duty but it probably wont. I recommend this game to everyone.

I had a lot of fun playing this game. I can see (and liked) where they used their subject matter experts in this game. Those were the coolest moments for me. Is it as pretty as other games out there? Not what I was hoping for
The graphics are great, storyline is good. Wasn't real happy with the linear game play, have to go down this staircase, or this path. Would have been better if you could go anywhere on the map. The single player campaign could have been longer. I beat it in about 9 hours, bummer. I realize that this game is made more for on-line game play, but it still would have been nice to play single player more. Especially since I do not have access to broadband internet that I can play online. Yes Afghanistan does suck.

Medal Of Duty
This game takes cues from the Call of Duty series.EA resurrects its first person shooter by moving it from WW II into 21st-century Afghanistan.Taking place in 2001,when the U.S. military began combat operations soldiers from throughout the armed forces, known as Tier 1 Operators.Single-player missions are focused on Tier 1 soldiers as they target Al-Qaeda strongholds, but you will also engage in frenzied firefights as an Army Ranger, and serve as a gunner on a Apache helicopter. The game features 24 real world weapons, and ensuring that all of the action showcases the spark between Afghanistan's natural mountains and the hollowed-out Soviet tanks and crumbling buildings. The multiplayer is handled by EA DICE,the studio behind Bad Company series, and the action draws inspiration from Infinity Ward's Modern Warfare games, with you progressing to higher ranks, unlocking new weapons, and earning special bonuses for kill streaks. You can choose from Rifleman,Sniper, and Special Ops character classes and then battle across 8 different maps as a member of either the "Coalition" forces or the "Insurgents",with all four modes supporting up to 24 players."Team Assault" mode is team deathmatch, while "Sector Control" finds you attempting to dominate smaller sections of each map in order to earn points."Objective Raid" gives you 5 minutes to capture or defend two objectives on the map,and the "Combat Mission" is a slower, story driven campaign in which Coalition forces are tasked with capturing 5 consecutive objectives, while the Insurgents must prevent them from progressing. It also features a "Hardcode" mode,in which the mini-map and weapon crosshairs are removed, health does not regenerate, ammo cannot be acquired from fallen enemies, and you can be injured by friendly fire. While the game is fun, multiplayer looks like it is set far from single player gameplay.Plus Black ops is coming out,so I say give this one a rent.

A so so game
I anticipated an amazing game that would make some really good competition with COD; however, I am very wrong. The campaign, even though I haven't beat it yet, is pretty good. The online play is very lacking and very inaccurate. Pros: Graphic Detail is very good and beats COD in this area. Campaign play is fun and has a great story line Ribbons are awesome Cons: Graphics (everything is almost the same color so it is hard to see people) The time it takes to kill someone reminds me of HALO you can shoot the heck out of someone but they might not die all the time. The kill streaks suck ( I tried aiming through a door with my mortar strike and it actual hit the door instead of the object I was shooting at) NO PRONE (what game doesn't have prone anymore, I'm pretty sure I can do it in real life why not in MOH) FREEZING ( sometimes I find myself in a gun fight, then I freeze, and then I'm dead) not only me by the way Hardcore really isn't hardcore, you still have to shoot the person a lot to kill them. Not a one shot kill To many people on small maps (there are big maps but I find most to small) Spawning (50% of the time I spawn into fire or in front of the enemy) I tried playing this game for a couple weeks to give in a chance but I still found myself very disappointed and frequently tell people not to buy the game.

Could of been a really good game, but disappointed. Way to many bugs when playing the campaign. Is it me or does the character look like he has broken legs when he runs. Believe me you will get frustrated from all the bugs in the game. Online maps are cool, but way to small for a lobby of 24 people. If your team has 2 good snipers your team will always win, lame. I agree with a previous review, kill streak rewards are a pain to get. Can anyone explain why objective raid was created? Matches can be completed in less than a minute. What is so fun about playing 1 minute matches.

Doesn't Live Up To Expectations
I preordered this game based on the fact that it looked like another military action FPS that was going to give COD a challenge. The game fails to deliver on multiple levels in not only the Campaign but also the online multiplayer. The Campaign is short but overall the graphics are as you would expect from a newer FPS, this can only take you so far though. I do not buy games to play once and sit on a shelf that is why I pay for XBOX LIVE. The multiplayer on newer games is critical to the success of the company producing the game. If I had know the multiplayer was going to be this terrible I would never have purchased the game, I would have just rented it. First off when you see a title that has been brought back like Medal of Honor you assume that they have made drasitic changes and added features that other games currently don't utilize. When I first got online with Medal of Honor it was clear that I had just purchased another copy of battlefield, a game that was not that great to begin with. At least Battlefield had plenty of environment desctruction and vehicles to keep you interested for a while. Medal of Honor didn't deliver on any level comapared to any FPS out there and DICE/EA just used the Battlefield platform and put out a game to make some quick money with no effort put into the game itself, otherwise they would have produced a game that didn't mirror Battlefield. Don't waste your money just rent it for the campaign mode and return it. I sold my immediately after I beat the campaign.

I read some unfair reviews
I'm giving this 4 star game 5 stars in order to help off-set the unfair reviews. This is an excellent shooter and if the multiplayer piece isn't perfect it certainly doesn't demote this quality game to 1 or 2 stars like some have given it. The reason it is truly a 4 star game for me (and not 5) is the single glitch that I have found (enemy facing away shooting into the wall on every play-through in one scene) and the fact that it is too short with no real ending. Everything else about this game is definitely 5 stars. Graphics, story, sound (especially with quality headphones), controls, etc. I AM a COD fanboy but more than that I am a military shooter fan. I have and play them all, literally. There has only been one game on the Xbox that I immediately restarted (a new campaign) as soon as the credits started rolling at the end of the campaign. That one was COD 2. When I finished this game's campaign I immediately went back to the main screen and started a new campaign.

Great Multiplayer for the Hardcore Gamer
This game has had a wide range of reviews from bad to great. I pre-ordered this game and before I opened it, I read reviews from gamers, game review sites,(IGN) and I almost brought the game back, but instead I decided to play the game. Boy I am sure glad I did. I mostly buy these type of games for the multiplayer. I think it is very good and challenging. It is very realistic and I think it might be too hard for the people giving it low scores. It might have a few glitches but what game does not? I remember when Modern Warefare 2 came out everyone was complaining about it at first. Invinity Ward did not run a Beta before releasing it and it had a bunch of glitches. I think this game is much better than Bad Company 2, because of it's realistic play. Everyone has a different opinon on what games they like or not. I think if you give this game a chance you will like it too.

All Hype...
First off, let me say that I am not a COD fanboy. I like the game series, but I am only going off DICE's past work, Bad Company 2 when reviewing this. While I can understand servers and bugs can bog down a game, Bad Company 2, Halo, or MW2 didn't have this problem. But that's not my problem. While the single-player is decent (graphics are nice), the replay value is in the multiplayer and it doesn't deliver. DICE can do better than this. Compared to Bad Company 2, this is an embarrassment. Maps are too small, even in hardcore shots are unrealistic, far too much slowdown (I have a high speed cable). I felt like I wasted $60 on this. All hype and it didn't deliver...disappointed.

Solid Purchase
If you like shooters overall this game will give you some great hours till Black ops comes out. I have heard many others put down this game like it's really bad but i just don't see that. The campaign is pretty solid except for a few minor bugs. It's just much different than COD games and that's why fanboys are giving it bad ratings. The online is challenging and the controls are pretty odd at first till you get a real feel for the game. I like all shooters and war style games so i was pleased with this game. Medal of Honor games are for the hardcore players who don't mind a challenge and depends more on their actual skill rather than rank. The multiplayer modes and maps are fun and the graphics are better than average. Don't knock it till you try it. At least rent it if you don't want to buy it.

Good MOH Comeback
The campaign for MOH has a great storyline. Although it is very short, the campaignhas a great variety of missions which you can actually enjoy going back and playing because they're fun. In campaign you can play a the SEAL and an Army Ranger. The long-range sniping is what i really enjoyed even though its only availbale in a few missions. Vehicle mission include ATV's and helicopters. Other than that, nothing to big we haven't seen before. As for multiplayer, well you know, everyone has their own opinion. In MOH multiplayer is very similar to BF: BC 2, obvioulsy because its EA and DICE...

I was so excited to get my copy of MOH but so disappointed once the credits were rolling. Literally took probably 6 hours to beat on medium diff. Rent it if you wanna play just the campaign. You know I would write a whole review but I'm just going to say the same thing about how the online play is horrible. I will be playing and the screen will freeze to come back 2 - 3 seconds later to find that I have been killed. Funny because my screen was frozen. Good luck trying to kill someone because it doesn't happen to often with out using a whole mag. M203, RPG, and AT4 don't even bother just throw rocks because it ain't going to work I was direct impacting people to find myself dying from a random pistol get real. Wish I wouldn't have waisted the money on such an epic fail of a game.

Freezing and glitches
I enjoy the campaigns alot more than actually playing online. Even though the campaigns are typically shorter now a days, kinda sucks but I expect it. The missions were cool but the only really thing you do is kill, ride a 4 wheeler, laze targets, and man a helicopter gun. Not really any different than any other FPS. I had a couple glitches while playing where the computer did not do what it was supposed to. It was also very twitchy. I can't believe they let this game out like this. Graphics and movies were great, but mainly revolved around 2003 in Afghanistan on Taku Ghar (Roberts Ridge). Aiming sucks on this game. I swear I missed more than I shot. You have to basically shoot multiple times to kill an enemy. Jumping up and over items blows. Your team mates can do it, but you can't. Sometimes I would aim at an enemy and he would disappear only to reappear at the same spot (did not see him duck or anything). The graphics were great in the video and other parts of the game. Sensitivity sucked for aiming. Controls are very finicky even though very similar to COD games. I wish I would of just rented it. Online play blows. Maps are small and don't think I am going to play it again. I may play the Tier 1 mode but other than that this game was not worth it....

The multiplayer in this game is horrible, you can't even walk away from your spawn point without getting sniped, if dice wants to make this game better they should make bigger maps like bad company 2

NOT AS BAD A GAME AS EVERYONE CLAIMS...
FIRST OF ALL...STOP COMPARING MOH TO COD...LET'S NOT FORGET WHO STARTED MAKING SUCESSFUL WAR GAMES BEFORE COD EVEN EXISTED. AS FAR AS THIS GUY WHO CLAIMS HE IS "10TH PRESTIGE"AND BLAH BLAH...I HAVE BEEN 10TH PRESTIGE ON ALL THE CALL OF DUTY GAMES INCLUDING WORLD AT WAR...IT'S NOT THAT DIFFICULT...JUST CAMP AROUND AND PLAY ALOT...NO SKILL NEEDED. MOH IS NOT A PERFECT GAME...IT HAS SOME BUGS..BUT SO DID BOTH BATTLEFIELDS...BUT THEY ARE STILL GREAT GAMES. THE GAMEPLAY IS GOOD...IT'S FUN...AND THE MULTIPLAYER IS A MIX BETWEEN COD AND BATTLEFIELD...WHICH IS GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME. I'M SURE BLACKS OPS WILL BE AN EXCELLENT GAME...BUT FOR NOW THIS IS A FAST AND FUN GAME THAT SHOULD NOT BE MISSED!

Overall Garbage
First of all I'm a real 10th prestige with no mod controller or any other cheats. I have gotten tired of the cheaters. So when i saw this I was way excited. VERY disapointed. If it came out and cost $ 40. then not so much. The online multiplayer is horrible. There are two teams of twelve for each side. In team deathmatch the maps are very small. It takes WAY to much to kill any eneimes. The killstreaks are very hard to achieve or get to kill anyone. Explovises arent so explosive, basicly need a direct hit. Very little weapons. You basicly start out as a rookie and work your way up. Leveling your guns up. On some maps you really do spawn, travel 5 feet and are killed by a sniper. I've sniped people from one side of the tiny map right in there spawn. But you can't do the same, you can't see or snipe right into the opposite spawn. Basicly I had gotten tired of the hacking and cheating that most of you do in call of duty. I was hoping that this would take over. And hopefully wont be all hacked out also. This game will not put a dent into trey archs sales. Save your money. And get black ops.

Don't Waste Your Money
The multiplayer is the absolute worst I have ever played. Spawn and get killed by a sniper...instantly. Over and over again. Sorry, I'm not paying extra money to buy upgrades. Cheap attempt to make another MOD2...epic fail. What a joke and a huge waste of $60...I want my money back. Garbage...wait for Black Ops.

Its Not MW2 but I wasn't expecting MW2
This game is not the best game I have ever played but never the less it does have some gaming appeal. I enjoyed the tightness of the game versus the arcade feel of MW2. The graphics are okay and the sound is dead on. The campaign is nice and very different than MW2 as well. You have to listen to directions if not you will get lost or turned around and this will cause the game to come to a complete stand still. All and all I have enjoyed this game very much. As you can see by this review and alot of other reviews everyone is comparing it to MW2. If MW2 is what you are looking for my advice is to pass on this game, but if you are looking for a different experience this is a great change of pace from MW2. This game will provide you with some excellent first-person shooter experieces.

Interesting subject with poor execution.
I was very interested in Medal of Honor because of it's focus on a real world conflict rather than an over the top, purely fictional plot as in the recent Call of Duty games. Unfortunately, beyond the subject matter, the game is anything but interesting. For starters here are way to many bugs for a game like this. In some encounters a turreted weapon would continue to fire after the person manning it was killed but it would be silent and deal no damage. There were multiple instances of mission progress grinding to a halt because some scripted element wasn't triggered when it should have. You find yourself running around the level trying to find some way to get things moving again. The game simply feels like it was rushed out the door. The while the subject matter is interesting the story is not. There is very little to connect you to your character or his comrades. While they attempt to add some drama with the conflict between the troops on the ground and their commanders behind a desk, the whole thing feels too contrived. To be honest; If I had it to do all over again, I would save my money for a different game.

SHAME ON YOU EA!!
Hello but I have to give this as a warning to the fellow gamer but beware of a cheap version of Modern Warfare 2 I understand that this is EA's first crack at making Medal of Honor in a modern war game but they should have stayed where were they were king and that's world war 2 games and as far as being a "LIMITED EDITION" vision that's bull @#$%! that just helps them sleep at night for making you pay full price for a game that has nothing new but a different name. Sorry but I feel that Medal of Honor was a rushed game because during the campaign I have experienced the game freezing or getting stuck in the walls or for example when getting on the four wheeler I get stuck in midair over the four-wheeler and of course that's the same time that you get a checkpoint so when you restart your still in midair!!!! So you have to start the level all over again which is bad because the game has a feel of a cheap version of Modern warfare 2 but for full price. However this is just my experience on the single player game and haven't explored much of the multi-player game but I'm sure it's the same.

wait until its $30 to buy, not worth full price
Very disappointed in this game. The single player and multiplayer controls are completely different, and there is no way to customize the controls to resemble each other or previous game titles like battlefield bad company 2 or modern warfare 2. single player is extremely linear, and its cake to play on the hardest difficulty. weapons are nice but gameplay is boring. its supposed to resemble real life tier 1 operations, but i just cant see it. by tier 1, they make some medals where you try to beat the game under a par time, yuck. its just run and shoot. multiplayer is even more disappointing. its all run and shoot, no strategy or teamwork...its ffa kill what you see. your "friendly" markers are white triangles against white sand in most games...very hard to see. no kill cam to see who shot you or how you died. on day 1 some players are already maxed out in the upgrade tree. and if you are playing with friends, good luck finding them on the battle field...when you do you will most likely be dead because you put too much effort into finding your friend than looking for the enemy. I rated this 2 of 5 because singleplayer is worth 1 playthrough. I would rather play bad company 2 or modern warfare 2 or even bad company 1 with bad controls. this game is just very disappointing, get it from the used rack in a few days...many people online feel the same.

Reviews from IGN
I think this game is much better than most of us are giving it credit for. The graphics are far from being my favorite but I do enjoy the game play. Modern Warfare 1 or 2, sorry guys, is not real modern warfare. I think this whole bad review deal is based on a conflict between the modern warfare series and another developer claiming to have the next game about today's conflicts. I am impressed with the game. IT IS NOT A 6 like IGN would have it. I think it's an 8 but not a 9.

Skip it
Bought this game expecting decent gameplay, decent multiplayer, and a decent connection. None of these existed, the first 2 missions are ok, but riding the ATV is a frakin pain, connecting to the EA servers on 360 is NONE EXISTENT a whole 18 hours after release, and redeeming codes is trouble some at best. EA has virtually no answers for these issues and quite frankly I feel ROYALLY screwed out of $60. This game is being returned and I'd again say......SKIP IT!!!! Oh and the frakin game is TOOOOOOO short. Really EA....W....T......Frak!

The Highest Rating is 8.5
I have played the Beta on the PC that came out on Oct 4th and so far they have fixed many things that were an issue in the previous beta that was out months before. The weapons in the game have increased in damage. The delay in death have been fixed. The graphics have also received an upgrade. Overall the game will receive no more then 8.5, the multi player mode are a little more fast paced and hoping the single player will be classic. I say this game will be a buy for me. The series has a long way to but it's in the right direction.

Graphics Are Awesome
I helped test this game and let me tell you guys that it is awesome! The graphics are awesome and the sound quality is also very good, I was always hoping for EA and Dice to join forces to create a game like the WWII MOH but only present day. Also a game that you could blow up stuff in, like BFBC 2. This game is AWESOME get it!!!

in response to the others
There is so much concern about being able to play as taliban and kill U.S. military soldiers. However... I fear many including our Government have jumped to conclusions on this...did they actually contact EA and ask to see the game play or did they just hear about it and decide to ban it? It is part of multiplayer, but it is like the earlier WWII games, were you played as axis or allies, some body who hates the US and plays this game because they totally want to play as a taliban fighter will be sadly disappointed the first time they are randomly assigned to a team of us solders. I put in a preorder on this game because I have watched the beta gameplay videos online i think it looks really good, any complaints about graphics or range of weapons...hey its beta...give the final release a chance. Like many new games Tier 1 switches back and forth between several characters, a regular infantry soldier, and tier 1 operatives. The tier 1 guys are the best of the best of the best, and were the guys who were in Afghanistan in the days after 9/11 when we did not even know the military has anybody there yet. The developers interviewed actual Tier 1 operatives, so if any body would be upset by this game it would be those guys. The medal of honor series has done more to capture the story and honor of those who have given all for this country. It gives the rest of us a chance to live their experience, even if its through a video game.

Anti-American Storyline. Do Not Buy!
It's been revealed today that there is an option to play as the Taliban killing American Soldiers. This game has been banned on all US Military bases and all Gamestop stores on or near US Military bases. Unbelievable that such a legendary franchise would welcome itself back with garbage like this. Electronic Arts better recall this game and fix this or it will bomb.

A classic is born again.
Medal of Honor is a classic title. From the beginning, it has been defining the first person shooter genre and forcing other game developers to up their game. Sadly, with a string of mediocre games, Medal of Honor fell out the spotlight. Now the series in in store for a much needed reboot, and it couldn't have come at a better time. With the market now flooded with "Modern" games after the success of Call of Duty 4, it's easy to start drawing comparisons between games. So what makes Medal of Honor special? What makes separates it from the rest of the pack? The answer is authenticity. Medal of Honor strives to do our men and women serving overseas justice when making a game about them, and they have walked that fine line with perfect balance. The tone of the game comes straight from real Tier 1 operators who helped guide the creative process. The story will be excellent, moving, emotional, and most importantly fun! Real time and effort has been made to make the game not just authentic, but realistic. The sound immerses the gamer like never before. All the gunshots and explosions have been recorded from real weapons from all different angles and distances. No clanging pans or Airsoft guns like Call of Duty. The multiplayer has been engineered by the experts from DICE, the company responsible for the fantastic Battlefield series. As a result, the multiplayer uses DICE's Frostbite game engine. People will be quick to draw comparisons between this and Battlefield Bad Company 2, but the similarities are largely graphical and not much more. Medal of Honor has been made from the ground up to be a firearms based shooter with specific emphasis on player skill, precision, and tactical thinking. Shooting mechanics are similar to Bad Company 2, but all shooters of this genre are similar (e.g. regenerating health systems, hit markers, control schemes). Others reporting about limited weapons and the such are only reporting details from the multiplayer beta, a testing phase used to take advantage of a large player base to find bugs and fix faulty game mechanics so the game can be its best on launch day. The final product has many more weapons and weapon attachments to play around with. The biggest downfall about this game is how under appreciated it is. With all the hype and media attention focused on the new Halo: Reach and Call of Duty: Black Ops, Medal of Honor sits quietly in the background. But if you're the kind of person who judges a game not by the title it has, but instead of by content, then you will be very pleased with Medal of Honor. No, there's no massive handicaps like in the Call of Duty series. This is an adults shooter, where your lack of skill is your own problem. So you probably won't like this game if you're the die-hard Call of Duty fan who can't and won't accept that there are bigger and better games out there. It's time to grow up, put your preconceptions away, and step into the shoes of the Tier 1 Operator in Medal of Honor.

half decent
the games half decent. theres not enough guns though. It takes way too many shots to kill someone. The kill streak rewards are set up good, everynoe gets the same 2 choices per each streak reached. Not a terrible game, pretty fun.

Great Shooter but not MW2
This game is really awesome, its a refurbished version of MW2 but without all the perks and hackers. So far... I played this at E3 for 360 and must say it was pretty fun... it does look like BFBC 2.5 to be honest.... Dice is not a good multiplayer creator compared to bungie or infinity ward BKA Respawn but this game is in good hands...and lets hope now that EA has MW2 creators that this game will get alot of cool updates to compete with the best of them.... all around graphics are amazing and sound is real, gameplay is fluid once you get use it.... but were is the 360 beta who knows.. because everyone knows xbox 360 is the system to have for online play and with pre orders 5-1 against ps3 without a beta on xbox 360 the game will have alot of flaws...
